LED Light Strips

I have a couple of florescent fixtures that have been out for some time.  I purchased some replacement LED tubes for them but they turned out to be too difficult to modify. I had purchased a few rolls of LED strips with the intention to make a light panel but I never got around to it so why not use the strips to make a custom fixture and while I’m at it, add some custom lighting to the bandsaw.

  1. Hi Matt, and greetings from Seattle,
For a low cost light diffusion material try drafting velum I don’t know if it does anything to change the light color value but it works great as a diffusion material, I know sometimes it is used by lighting grips in the film industry as a low cost alternative to the more expensive diffusion material that is made expressly for that purpose..
And dude, leds directly on the bandsaw…GENIUS!

    As always, all the best,
    Doug
