A Walk Through Walnut Grove (Identifying Black Walnut Trees)

May 30, 2017

While visiting my parents in Kenosha for Memorial Day, I took a walk through a nearby park to gawk at some trees.

Very cool and informative video! I take frequent walks with my three kids and am trying to learn and identify the different trees around me (in Luxembourg, believe it or not..). It’s gotten to a point where my kids can spot a walnut tree in a blink of an eye while I’m stumped- bless them. Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks for the vid, appreciate the fact that you encourage folks to leave the shop and appreciate the trees in all their different stages of life. Take care and keep up the good work.

    • Thanks Daniel!

What part of the country do you live in? Trying to find where does black walnut grown in people yards.

    • This was in southern Wisconsin. Black walnut is pretty common throughout the midwest.
