Frame Welding

Next up is the installation of the leveling nuts and then all of the frame parts can be laid out and welded.  Care needs to be taken when doing the welding so that the frame remains flat and does not distort.

  1. Matt, I’m about to start a welding class It looks like you do stick (SMAW) welding. Why do you choose that method over TIG or MIG? Have you also tried these types of welding? Stick welding looks simpler and easier to me, so I’m leaning that way.

    1. I went with stick because it has a low cost of entry and has a bit of a learning curve or rather you’ll learn a lot about welding concepts as you build muscle memory. I tried mig a couple weeks ago. It was super easy and took no thought.
