Slabbing White Oak Logs with a Chainsaw Mill

November 29, 2014

My friend Jim gave me 2 white oak logs to cut with my chainsaw mill.  One was 12′ long and the other was 9.5′ long.  They both were 32″ at their widest.  The 12′ log I cut into 12/4 and 16/4.  I will be using it to build an outdoor dining table for my new patio. I’m not sure what I am going to do with the other log but I cut it into 9/4 slabs.
