Power Carved Kitchen Stool by Joshua

I created this kitchen stool from 12 pallets that I picked up for free across the highway from a plastic company.  This is my entry for the 2017 Pallet Up Cycle Challenge and also my first year participating.

Secretary Desk by Gary

I was lucky to get two book matched walnut pieces for the door panels. Not quite the awesome cherry crotch pieces you used, but none the less it looks pretty good. I sure learned a lot while building it, from hand cut half blind dovetails, to carving the fans and gooseneck molding. That interior gallery, the way it curves inward towards the prospect box and the layering of the drawers sure makes for a handsome piece interior look. By the way I used 4 coats of “Waterlox Original Sealer & Finish” as the finish. It sure brought out the rich color of the walnut and not too shinny.

Even though it took 4 months, I think I have about two man months (approx. 340 hours) in it, but I did not keep track.

Nightstand by Jared

I am a 17 year old carpenter and I have been building projects ever since I was a child.   This is an oak and maple nightstand the top and shelves are maple while the rest is oak.

Walnut Slab Dining Table by Caleb

This slab has an irregular shape from the two crotches that are in it, but I want something more rectangular while still being organic.
