Floor Lamp by Josh

Wanted to send in this quick project I completed for my wife. I noticed some floor lamps in my amazon cart so wasn’t sure if my wife was hinting at something or just saving them. So found some cherry offcuts and kinda winged the design.
I tried to use some pieces that weren’t perfect and made the imperfections shine. I left the knot and tried to center it in the top rail, and left some bark and sap wood for the base.
I used a through tenon to connect the upright to the base, and bridle joints for the other joints. I bought the braided cord from amazon and custom made some eyelets to hold the cord in place.
This was also the first time using Generals armor-seal in satin and love that finish.

End Table by Bob

I milled all the wood used in this table. Top is again a slice from the same Chinese elm, with the Airborne and Special Forces engraving with oak bowties and the same 2 part epoxy finish on top. The base is from a 80 year old Colorado blue spruce that was struck by lighting, milled with a portable chainsaw mill. The piece mounted underneath is a piece of sycamore tree that tore while it was being split for firewood. I saved that piece for years until I found the right creation to place it in.  Underneath is also a battery operated light.  I made this in Colorado but I now reside in North Carolina.

Wedding Card Box by Ifiok

I built a wedding card box for a friend of mine. the box contains a picture frame in the front to display a wedding photo. it is removable and can be replaced with any other picture.  Even though it was a small project, it may have been one of my longest projects to complete.
