I was down for a few days with the flu but I’ve been making progress on the bed by getting the headboard and footboard glued up. I also got to spend a day last week running my chainsaw mill for the first time in 11 months. I’ve missed it.

Industrial Trestle Table Build by Gary
Gary is a youtube creator and metal fabricator from Texas.
This table features an industrial/trestle style design. Use of large fasteners with steel base along with a Cedar Beam and Top. The finish is a mix of cedar/barn red stain along with satin wipe on poly. the steel has the hot rolled mill scale chemically removed and finished with sharkhide clear metal protectant.
Mallet by Trenton
I am fifteen years old and love woodworking. For Christmas I got a 8by12 mini lathe and got hooked on turning. This is my second lathe project, it is a mallet with an oak handle and a cherry head. The mallet was then finished with Howard’s butcher block conditioner.

I have really enjoyed your work, both here and on woodtalk. Have you ever talked about the details of chainsaw milling? I would love to learn about how the chain you use to rip is different, what kind of saw you use, tips for maintaining the equipment and safety. I want to give you credit for wearing the chaps when you saw, I think modeling good safety habits is best way to pass them along.
